EXPO: PLAY MILAN
This invitation is extended to amateur orchestras and choirs all over the world to come and visit Expo 2015, the city of Milan and the Lombardy region, and at the same time be given the chance to perform one or more concerts in places of great artistic and historical value. What is Expo 2015?
Expo 2015 is a universal exposition with new and innovative features. It is not only an exhibition but also a sharing process that seeks to actively involve numerous topics, players and enterprises around one decisive theme: Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. It is a unique event that embodies a new concept for a thematic, technological, sustainable and visitor-centered Expo. From 1st May to 31st October 2015, there will be 184 days of events, over 130 participants and an exhibition site covering an area of one million square meters to accommodate more than 20 million visitors. Visitors will be involved first hand in theme-based and in-depth excursions into the complex world of food, and will have the opportunity to experience a real journey around the world by sampling the flavours and traditions of the peoples of the Earth. Milan Expo 2015 will be the first exhibition ever to be remembered not only for its products but above all for its contribution to the debate and to education on nutrition, food, and global resources.

Milan is the city of music, fashion, the stock exchange, design, the Scala Theatre, Leonardo ... The Duomo, the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, the Sforzesco Castle, Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, the Brera Pinacoteca Art Museum ... but you can also see an opera at La Scala or go shopping in the Fashion District. Concerts
Concerts will be held in Milan and surrounding areas, in theatres, halls or churches of great artistic and historic interest. Admission to the concerts will always be free and open to the public and to tourists. They will be carried out in collaboration with charity foundations which will contribute to event advertising and visibility through their contact networks.

If a musician is needed , or an ensemble to accompany a choir, Amici della Musica can cater to your requirements from the pool of musicians we have been working with for many years in Milan, from the most prestigious schools in the city, the Conservatorio G. Verdi and the International Music Academy, as well as the city’s orchestras.
Rehearsal room
We have a number of rehearsal rooms and a small theater with good acoustics and a piano.
Transfers
We will take care of transfers from and to the airport, and also transport requirements in the city and the surrounding areas.
Musical instruments
If traveling with instruments is a problem, we can rent whatever you require: percussion, double basses, harps, pianos. Partners: Griffa.
